His gentle kindness was an exemplar to us all; it went far beyond what he taught in the classroom. His kindness, his chesed, his willingness to see us in the fullness of who we are, recognizing us as created b’tzelem elokim. This is the blessing we received from him.
It is not often that one encounters such patience and loving care for each of one’s students in a teacher.
With that in mind, ARC has established the annual Rabbi Yitzchak Mann Yahrzeit Lecture for both alumni and students, creating an opportunity to both remember Rabbi Mann z”l and pass on his legacy of Jewish religious pluralism.
